Resignation of The Phenom
As reported earlier The Phenom, David GS has officially resigned from competition in the WWX as talks with the superstar to re-sign his WWX contract fizzled. WWX News received an unofficial statement from WWX VP of Marketing, Steve Cuthbert moments after the announcement:

Cuthbert: "It truly is unfortunate. David has been a part of this company for several years now and has been integral in our success. However, he may been a bit delusional about his fan base turning away to follow him to another promotion."

WWX News acquired the following footage from the FMW farm fed promoters highlighing David's latest performance.

...

Boice: Believe it, Dalby! The Sons are on top! Matt is down! Mark is down! Bryson is on his knees in the corner as Hannibal and Leon help Celt to his feet! Bryson is begging for them to stop!

Sound: Here comes the timer! Please be the fourth man! PLEASE!

Five,
four,
three,
two,
one.

Zero by Alterbridge blasts through the arena as the crowd rises to their feet for the oncoming David GS. He casually makes his way down the ramp, keeping his focus on the ring, as the referee opens the door. Hannibal, Leon, and Celt begin to applaud as they find themselves standing over the members of YNG with champion Bryson in the corner.

Boice: David GS enters the ring! Hannibal tosses him a high five! They turn to face Bryson now and he's in for a world of hurt!

Sound: SEE! Do you see now! He always said they would use the full force against him! I weep for our champion here, Boice, and you should too!

Boice: Hannibal Frost walks over to Bryson and stands over him! He wipes some of the blood from his face as Bryson is still pleading not to be hurt and-

At this moment David GS charges forward and grabs Leon Caprice, shoving his unsuspecting target face first into the mat. As the Celt and Hannibal turn around, David GS shoots up from one knee and charges, landing a vicious Spear into the gut of the Celt.

Boice: OH MY GOD! WHAT AM I WITNESSING!?

Sound: OH MY GOD! YES! YES!

Boice: LOW BLOW ON HANNIBAL FROST FROM BRYSON!

Sound: We have our fourth man! We have him!

Boice: I can not believe what I am seeing! Bryson gets up as David GS stares over the carnage he just caused! He looks at Nick Bryson and- NO!

Sound: Excellent!

Boice: David GS just hugged Nick Bryson in the center of the ring over the bodies of the Sons of Attrition!

Sound: His FORMER teammates!

Boice: Please let this be a bad joke! Please!

...

[The FMW footage fades out replaced again by Cuthbert, a set of microphones in front of him.]

Cuthbert: David's success so far with FMW and EHWF? If you would call turning on team-mates at the end of a Pay-Per-View or riding the coat tails of a guy like Nick Bryson, success...then sure...David has had a very successful career outside of the WWX. Look, folks...it's been no big secret that David has been moonlighting since February 2010. He's done a fine job in those promotions as well as here. He's an entertainer and his contract with the WWX does not limit him to our promotion alone. But Mr. Smith seems to have a sense of entitlement that is incompatible with how our business operates. Maybe he's more deserving of awards than the voters give him credit for. Maybe he's not getting his fair shake over at FMW and being passed over for guys like Harlequin or Johansson? David has his reasons. You want me to say it? Sure...I'll say it. The man is temporarily suffering from Hogan syndrome. It happens to even the best of us. He is a very good wrestler...an excellent performer. But despite everything that has gone wrong or what bad blood has boiled over, David is family. He will always be welcome here in the WWX when this all boils over.
