=Pie Lady Cafe=
=Moorestown, New Jersey=
=2:15 PM=
***DING!***
The door leading to the diner opens and customers begin to walk out and continue with their day. There are a few elderly people sitting in the diner at booths and tables, near the register a sharp dressed man with straight ear length brown hair can be seen cashing out. As the man turns around you can see the black and white mask of “Hollywood” Max Siegel, he looks over his shoulder and says something to the young cashier before opening the door to the diner.
***DING!***
Siegel walks out of the diner and turns to his left, where he begins walking down the crowded street. Max approaches the intersection and slows down before moving towards the corner of leaning against the corner of a brick covered building.
Siegel: Moorestown, New Jersey, home to great schools, jobs, affordable housing and one Gunnar Granderson. Yes, Moorestown’s favorite son, a best-selling author, a former Vice President of Sales, a former International, North American, and Tag Team Champion. A man who has seen many highs in his life only to be followed by sudden crashes, when you’re relieved from your job by your own father you know something is wrong. But let me guess, it’s because Gunnar was drugged, right?
Max begins to walk across the street as the lights turn red, once across the street he continues walking down the block before being stopped at the next intersection.
Siegel: For all of Gunnar’s accomplishments there has been somebody by his side. His father, a man who worked so hard to build Granderson Banking into the giant it is, allowed Gunnar to disgrace the Granderson name while serving as the Vice President of Sales. With the Granderson Banking name behind him, Gunnar has used money to serve as his power, with toys and cars, Gunnar has had some fun. I believe it was just a week ago that Gunnar gave Blaine Evans a car, what a weak attempt to try and buy friends.
The stoplight turns red and people begin walking across the street, Max however, stays standing focusing on the camera.
Siegel: With the help of Nate Rodgers, Gunnar Granderson was able to defeat David GS to unify the North American and International Championship. That was impressive Gunnar, but I must ask you, how did it feel to get you’re a$$ handed to you by David at Final Countdown? Oh yeah… *pauses*… that’s right you were drugged. How could I forget? It must’ve been a real humbling experience for you, I know I enjoyed watching David beat you’re a$$ all over the caged structure. It’s funny because you claim you were drugged but you sure seemed fine when you were making your way down to the ring and when the match first started, I don’t think it was drugs as much as it was reality setting in that there would be nobody there to save you.
Siegel’s hair begins to swirl around his head as a gust of wind blows by, Siegel is once again leaning against the brick wall as he watches people cross the intersection.
Siegel: Thanks to an added stipulation, you were able to advance to this semi-final stage of the James Ranger Invitational. Brian Lochnar was able to get the first fall that should have been enough to secure your demise, but instead that was only enough to take away your International Championship, instead the second fall was with a last man standing stipulation added to it. You were able to advance, I applaud you for that, but that is where your story will end. You’ve advanced to face three men, all of those men being your superior. Lance Invictus was able to defeat Krimzon Blaze and the Lost Soul, although it was under questionable circumstances, he was still able to defeat both men.
”Hollywood” pauses as he watches four teenage boys stand at the intersection before crossing the street, not one of the teenagers look both ways before crossing and due to their error in judgment are almost hit by a red Ford Taurus SHO.
***HONK!***
The driver of the car lowers his window to yell at the teenagers, a shocked group of teenagers laugh before running, Max Siegel watches and shakes his head; the driver rolls his window up and drives off.
Siegel: Another one of your opponents is Darkness, a man that has experienced quite a bit of success but nobody remembers the last time he was truly a feared competitor. He’s a man that’s busy visiting his buddy Tommy Lipton, trying to bring him back to life. You know all about Tommy Lipton, don’t you Gunnar?
Siegel rolls his sleeves up to his elbows, once the lights turn red Max crosses the street and continues walking down the street.
Siegel: Through advancing you also get to take on one more man, a man who in one night was able to advance to the semi-finals of the James Ranger Invitational and also defeat Brian Lochnar to become the WWX Triple A Champion. Yes, Brian Lochnar, the same man that you struggled with, narrowly defeating him to advance to this very semi-final match I am talking about. You see Gunnar; I was so impressive in my debut that James Ranger thought it was in his best interest to save me for the semi-finals, you see he was afraid I would hurt more of his talent the way I did Brian Lochnar and Toro. You should thank him for keeping me out of action for as long as he did, who knows what would’ve happened to you if we would’ve met while you were holding onto the WWX International Championship. Your father, Nate Rodgers, Corporal Sanders, Scott Andrews, even that b*tch of a woman you call Evelina, there’s nothing anything of them can do for you when I get my hands on you.
Siegel begins taking smaller steps as he notices a woman and her dog passing by. Siegel turns his head to look at the two once more before turning his attention back to the camera.
Siegel: Gunnar, you’ve been studying film, watching your competitors in previous matches. This is very wise of you, Gunnar, because like you I have been studying my opponents. I have taken notes on what each competitor holds near and dear, I’ve noticed that Evelina is someone that you keep very close. I can only hope that you are wise enough to keep her backstage at Fury. I don’t think you would like to see what I would do to that mutt of yours. I guess you could say that Michael Vick’s treatment of dogs would pale in comparison to what I would do to Evelina.
”Hollywood” begins to laugh as he stops in front of a large building, the front of the building reads “Granderson Banking”.
Siegel: You see Gunnar, unlike you; I don’t care what other people think. I am willing to go through any and everyone that gets in my way, I am willing to put a b*tch in her place when the time is needed. You were once like this, back when you were running with the Firm, you were a man willing to get your hands dirty and do whatever it took to be successful. What the f*ck happened to you Gunnar? When did you get so soft? Now a days you show remorse, you show weakness, you show pain. You use excuses to hide your pain and failures, Evelina is there by your side to keep encouraging you, but all she is really doing is allowing you to become half the man that you once were.
”Hollywood” begins walking towards the front doors of Granderson Banking, he stops as he puts his right hand on the handle of the front door.
Siegel: You were named the rookie of the year for your impressive work last year, you were able to be cutthroat and ruthless, you destroyed losers like Desmond White but what happened? You became a loser, looking to please the fans you became a candy @$$ and look what has happened to you Gunnar. You have become a man with a major weakness.
”Hollywood” opens the door to Granderson Banking and continues to a brunette teller who is waiting for the next customer.
Bank teller: Hello! How may I help you?
Siegel: I would like to open an account.
Bank teller: Alright let me get one of our managers.
Siegel: Actually, I was wondering if Gunnar Granderson was around, I was hoping to open the account with him.
Bank teller: I’m sorry, Mister Granderson is not at this branch, and he is currently on active leave.
Siegel: Well, maybe another time.
”Hollywood” turns around and begins to walk towards the front doors, he pushes open the doors and exits Granderson Banking, with a smile on his face he looks at the camera.
Siegel: I just had to hear a bank official tell me that Gunnar Granderson is currently on leave, boy did that sound good! But don’t worry Gunnar, because when I’m done with you, the bank is the last thing you’ll be thinking about. But don’t worry, Gunnar, Hollywood will always welcome you, because I promise you one thing…
”Hollywood” stops for a moment to add a dramatic pause.
Siegel: I’m going to make you famous!
