Lance, Nothing More To Say

Bayou Country

[Darkness arrives at an alligator farm located deep down in Bayou country. Al's alligator farm to be exact. As Darkness makes it up to the front gate he is stopped by some officials from WWX headquarters. They present a piece of paper in which Darkness reads over quickly and hands in back to them.]

Darkness: I have no problem with this.

[One official begins to search Darkness for something. Darkness just stands there calm and allows them to finish the search.]

Official: He has nothing on him.

Official 2: Sorry Mr. Darkness, due to recent events Mr. Ranger has order us to due these searches before any WWX superstar can enter a public place.

Darkness: I understand. Lance, what you did today was uncalled for and that is all I have to say on the matter.

[Darkness proceeds to enter the alligator farm where he is meet by Al himself. Al is dressed in overalls and a pair of thick rubber boots. In one hand he also carries a bag of red meat.]

Al: So your here to see the alligators?

Darkness: I figure I might as well do something while I wait for my match this Friday.

Al: A wrestler just like some of this alligators here. Just watch this.

[Al reaches down into the bag and pulls out a piece of red meat. He then proceeds to throw it towards two alligators who then begin to wrestle with each other for the piece of meat. Al then begins to tell Darkness of a story between the two alligators as Darkness watches in amazement.]

Darkness: Look at them two go at it. Just like the four of us will be going at it for one spot to determine the number one contendership to the IWA title. Max what you said today I have heard a millions time over through my career here in the WWX. Actuality I think James Ranger was the first to use all those lines.

Al: Whoo Wee, look at those gators go at it.

Darkness: Indeed, look at them go. 

[Darkness walks off leaving Al there watching the two gators fight one another over a piece of meat.]

Darkness: Max, I don't think the question is whether or not your afraid of the dark, I think it is whether you can beat the Dark. Whether or not you can beat the man who you say is out of his prime. A man that just recently beat Echo Stevens, a wrestler much younger than him, to win the Television title for the third time. So don't tell me I'm out of my prime just come to Fury and show me that I am out of my prime if you think you can.

Al: Hey, don't you want to know who got the piece of meat?

Darkness: I already know. The bigger more experienced one.

Al: How did you know that?

Darkness: Nine times out of ten that is the way it always ends up. Now I know what your thinking Max. Your thinking that you will be that one time where the weaker and less experienced gator gets the meat. Well Max your wrong and come Fury that point will be proven when you advance nowhere but back down to the bottom.

[Darkness continues down the trail until he finally comes to the end. Sitting there on the bank is a sixteen foot gator basking in the sun with his mouth wide open.]

Darkness: Hey Al, what is the story behind this gator here?

Al: This gator has been here the longest and now he sits by himself knowing that no other gator on this farm can match his strength and knowledge. He is basking in all his glory.

Darkness: You hear that Max, everybody basks in their past glories. Lost Soul, Falcon, Bad Boy Brown, Rick Dreamie, and even Raider Mask have all basked in their past glories. It's what makes us Max. It's what defines our career and one day Max you will bask in your own glories.

[Darkness exits the alligator farm allowing Al to get back to his work duties.]

Darkness: Oh one more thing Max, how long did you hold onto your Triple A title?
